We have been looking at replacing our guard walls with concrete barriers for several years. Concrete barriers are a big improvement for the safety of our racers and spectators, especially with all of the big events we are doing. We have been looking at lots of options all of which are expensive but after a lot of research, we have found what we believe is the best barrier for us at a reasonable cost. These are a new portable barrier that is flat on the track side, tapered on the back side which is the best design. Our desire is to start them at around 100 feet past the starting line to the end of the track. We want to keep the rails by the starting line to keep the nostalgia look there and they are in great condition. We would love to do all of this before race season but with all of the uncertainty we will for sure do the shutdown area 1st and do as much as possible of the other as we have finances to do so.
We have always resisted asking for help with doing improvements at the track but we have had some ask for ways they could do something for us so here are a couple of things those that want to help can do so.
1. Anyone who has equipment to haul these barriers (they are around 5000 lbs. each) and would be willing to offer us a deal or would be willing to do some trade-outs with us that would really help!
2. Also anyone able to help getting the ground next to the track ready for the barriers (including removal of old barriers and posts) that would also be a big help! (After snow is gone and the ground is unfrozen!) (Some excavation of dirt will be required to do this project as barriers will be installed about 10 inches below track level)
3. One more way you can be involved is with a financial contribution to the Build the Wall Promotion!
Bronze level donation: Cost $100, donor will receive 6 passes for any regular event at ERP for 2021.
Silver level donation: Cost $500, donor will receive a full season pass good for any and all events during the 2021 season. (over 50 events scheduled including F/C Chaos, Night of Fire, Nitro Chaos, & World Fuel Altered Nats)
Gold level donation: Cost $1000, donor will receive 2 full season passes plus 4 passes to Night of Fire.
This can be a great way to do a memorial for someone who was a past racer or fan.
All passes can be used by anyone that the donor wants to give them to or use them themselves.
All Silver & Gold level donors will be listed on a donor board to be put up somewhere near the tower.
We will start having these barriers built starting next week. The work needed will depend on weather conditions, etc. and hopefully completed by the start of the season.
Any and all questions on this please contact Gerald @ 641-780-3534 (Call or text) or email him @ firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will be having a Meet and Greet plus Chassis Cert at Certified Auto Sales, 5238 NW 2nd St, Des Moines, IA, on March 6 from 12 noon to 5pm. We will also be having certs at the track on April 24. Please contact Gerald Kramer at 641-780-3534 to schedule a time for your chassis certification time.

Race dates for 2021 will be May 29 & 30, July 3 & 4, Sept. 4 & 5. Entry fees and payouts will remain the same as prior years with the only minor rule change being T/D will have a maximum dial in of 4.99.
Eddyville Raceway Awards Banquet /Plans for 2020 Race Season
After a lot of discussing options for our banquet this year, we have decided to NOT do the traditional banquet we usually do in March. There are a lot of reasons for this decision and it was not an easy one. We are working on a plan to do something at our Memorial day weekend on Saturday night to recognize all racers getting awards, details coming at a later date!
We will still do all of the things we normally do for our top racers in the following classes: Top, Mod, Sportsman, Jr Dragster, TCR, and Sweet Corn Outlaws. This includes Champion Jackets, trophies for Class Winners and Runner-Ups, certificates for the others being recognized, and of course cash awards.
The Kramer family wants to thank everyone that supports the track, racers, fans, and sponsors!
Attention S/G (Super Gas) & S/C (Super Comp) Racers!
We wanted to do a big race for index racers in 2021 but with NHRA’s schedule we could not find a date that would work for us.
We are, however, doing a 2 day race for the Super Street Racers as an add-on to our 2-day points race on July 17 & 18 & would love to add S/G & S/C if there is enough interest. It would be an
80 % payback of entry fees unless someone steps up with some sponsor dollars.
Please spread this info to anyone you know that races these classes and gives us feedback either here or contact Gerald at email@example.com or call or 641-780-3534.
We always ask if it is an associate sponsor to a title sponsor please support these great companies as they help provide you a place to race. We would like to welcome a brand new sponsor for 2021 as well. McGraw R.O.W. out of Nebraska to become the Title sponsor of Top Sportsman/Top Dragster Sponsor updates for 2021! We are very happy to announce several companies that have supported us for a long time have renewed their support for us and the racers. Racers and fans, always try to support these companies whenever you can! Advance Transmission of Knoxville, Iowa has renewed as the title sponsor of our Top and Modified Bracket classes. With their support, we will pay out $4000 to the top 10 racers in each class at the end of the year! Bruce, Chris, and Jared have supported ERP in a big way for all 15 years I have owned the track and way before that as well. Contact them for all of your transmission needs for your race cars, tow trucks, or your daily driver. They also can help you with general automotive repairs. Quick Performance of Ames, Iowa has been renewed as title sponsor of our World Fuel Altered Nationals, as well as being a major sign sponsor of the left lane scoreboard, “A” board sign, and back wall sign. Thanks go to Brydon and Arron and the rest of the gang for their long time support of the track and if you need a new rear end for your race car or street car project give them a call! They not only support us but all racing in the midwest and all over the country. Trick Tools of Pella has stepped up as the title sponsor of our new Motorcycle Mania event in August. They have been the title sponsor of our Jr Dragster class for years and supporter of other classes and events as well. If you are looking for anything in the way of fabrication equipment be sure to give them a call or check out their website. Co-Line Mfg. of Lynnville Iowa have taken over as title sponsor of the Jr Dragster class for 2021. The Brand family has been involved in our sport for many years and have supported our Jr Dragster Halloween Nats for years. McGraw R.O.W. Clearing of Plattsmouth, Nebraska is the Title sponsor of the 2021 Top Sportsman/ Top Dragster class. Thanks to the McGraw family there will now be a points series for these classes in 2021.
It is that time of the year that we are working on the 2021 Race Season Schedule. Our big events are already scheduled (F/C Chaos - June 4 & 5, Musco Night of Fire - July 3, Nitro Chaos - July 30 & 31, WFAN - Aug. 20 & 21, and the Summit Midwest Bracket Finals - Sept. 9-12) Our schedule will be similar to last year with 15-18 Bracket Points Races with final dates TBA.
If you have any special event or class to be added to one of our events or be a stand alone event or track rental now is the time to get with Gerald to discuss what we can do. You can call or text him at 641-780-3534, email @ firstname.lastname@example.org, or message him on Facebook.
This is also the time to give us any feedback on any of our events or classes we run. A good example is what we can do to improve our T/S T/D series. (more or less events? entry fees and payouts? Sponsor ideas to raise payouts or used to do a points series again?)
Things we would love to hear some ideas for are: Bike Classes and Event(s) Street Car Events and Classes, Index Race and Classes. Now is the time to let us know what you are looking for. We also know we can only do so much and cannot be all things to all people but will listen to all. To make special events or classes it really helps to have someone or a group of people to take the initiative to make it happen. The 2 best examples are the Sweet Corn Outlaws and the Mopar Race. These have been very successful thanks to the efforts of Greg Allen, Tim Jackson, and Jim Reeves!
Thanks, Gerald Kramer
